Get a view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi both at the same time!
The first thing you should see when reaching the shore of Lake Kawaguchi is the beautiful scenery filled with nature. The peak of Mt. Tenjo, which is commonly referred to as Mt. Kachi Kachi, is a particularly lovely spot as it offers a view of Lake Kawaguchi below and Mt. Fuji right next to you. Although Mt. Kachi Kachi has walking trails, a recommended attraction is the ropeway, which is located just ten minutes away by foot from Kawaguchiko Railway Station. Watch the scenery grow even more stunning as the altitude rises. Be sure not to miss the sights here!

Sake is one of the highlights of travelling. Made with the subsoil water of Mt. Fuji, "Kai no Kaiun" is a famous sake that is born from just the right environment, ingredients, and the refined skills of the brewers.
-
Its popularity lies in its slightly dry and exquisite flavor. Ide Jyozoten, which is located near Kawaguchiko Railway Station, offers tours of the brewery where Kai no Kaiun is made. Experience the flavor of this sake from Mt. Fuji with your five senses!

Take the Tozan Train and cable car when visiting tourist sites.
The very hilly Hakone area can be explored by bus, ropeway, cable car, sightseeing ship, and so on, but please be sure to also use the Hakone Tozan Railway, which in November 2014 released the "Allegra" which is a new type of sightseeing train. The Allegra is characterized by its huge windows that let you see the scenery along the tracks even better. Now you can further enjoy the highlights of the four seasons including the hydrangeas, which bloom so close to the tracks that the train is also known as the "Hydrangea Train", as well as the iron Deyama Bridge, which gives you a beautiful view of the autumnal leaves ready to fall down a sheer gorge.
